APAR status

Error description

• When the IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) deployment
  environment is configured with a security domain that uses
  federated repositories while the global security is configured
  with a user registry type other than ?federated repositories?,
  the IBM BPM document store won't start.
  
  If tracing is enabled, the following error appears in the trace
  file:
  
  com.ibm.bpm.embeddedecm.init.EmbeddedECMInitializerComponentImpl
  initialize RETURN EmbeddedECMInitializerComponentImpl not
  started for user registry not VMM"
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The IBM BPM runtime environment reads only the type of the
  global security user registry and does not check whether user
  registry configuration is overwritten in a security domain
  associated with the deployment environment.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 that enhances the user
  registry type detection when a  security domain is configured
  for the IBM BPM deployment environment.
  
  On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
  for JR51513:
  
  1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
  
  2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR51513, and click Continue.
  
  When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
  the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
  additional installation instructions and information about the
  fix.
