APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Deleted KPIs of a business process definition (BPD) or activity
reappear in the KPIs list after you close and reopen the BPD or
    activity.

    PRODUCTS AFFECTED:
IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) Advanced
    IBM BPM Standard
    IBM BPM Express

Local fix

  • Re-delete default KPI after import to higher level BPM

Problem summary

  • In some situations, deleting a KPI does not mark the BPD or
activity as changed. As a result, the deletion of the KPI is
ignored. If you reopen the BPD or activity or import the project
that you expect the KPI to be deleted from, the deleted KPI i
displayed in the KPI list again.

Another reason why the deleted KPIs reappear could be a toolkits
dependencies error. If an error was displayed beside the toolkit
dependency, correct the error by removing this dependency or
updating the dependency to a correct version. A dependency error
could prevent references to KPIs or other artifacts from
resolving correctly. To remove or update a toolkit dependency,
right-click the toolkit dependency and select the action you
    want.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 that ensures deleting
KPIs marks the BPD or activity as changed and that the deletion
is persisted in the next Save operation.
