APAR status

Error description

  • The user list assignment cannot be processed in IBM Process
    Designer when the capitalization of the user name does not match
    the capitalization of the user name being searched on.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The search for user names regarding task assignments is case
    sensitive although the configuration supports case-insensitive
    security.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V7.5.1.2 that enables IBM BPM to
    search for users who are assigned tasks by their name in the
    database according to the configuration, regardless of the
    capitalization style of the user name.
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR51302:
    
    1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
      the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
      level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
    
    2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR51302, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
    
    You can find the default configuration for case-insensitive
    security in the 60Database.xml file:
