Error description

  • When you use Internet Explorer with IBM Process Portal and then
log out, memory is not correctly released by the browser. This
issue is particularly noticeable on Internet Explorer 8.

Problem summary


    

  • There are circular references in the code for bidirectional text
 input that cause memory to not be correctly released when you
log out of Process Portal. These references are created by the
supporting infrastructure for bidirectional input even when you
are not using a bidirectional language.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.0.1.2, V8.0.1.3, and V8.5.0.1
that removes all the circular references that are created for
bidirectional input on Internet Explorer when you log out of
Process Portal.

On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
for JR51162:

1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR51162, and click Continue.

When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
additional installation instructions and information about the
fix.
