  • For BPM 8.5.5, if the WAS is upgraded to 8.5.5.3, the DB upgrade
    command will fail with error "ClassNotFoundException:
    org.eclipse.emf.ecore.impl.EFreezeThunk".

    This issue is caused by the inconsistent version of the
    plug-ins in was_home/BPM/Lombardi/lib and was_home/plugins.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 that uses the latest
    version of WebSphere Application server plug-ins for the
    DBUpgrade class path so that you no longer receive the
    ClassNotFoundException.
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR51113:
    
    1. Select the IBM Business Process Manager with your edition
    from the product selector, the installed version to the fix
    pack level, and your platform, and click Continue.
    2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR51113, and click Continue.
