JR51106: ASNCLP CREATE QSUB COMMAND FOR SOME EXISTING TARGET TABLES RESULTS IN UNNECESSARY ERRORS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When you use the ASNCLP command-line program to create a
  Q subscription for an existing target table with nullable
  before-image or after-image columns, the program issues
  the ASN2152E error (target column does not have a mapped
  source column) for all of the before-image or after-image
  columns. This problem occurs only when you do not use the
  TRGCOLS INCLUDE or EXCLUDE clause to specify which
  columns to replicate.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Even if you do not specify TRGCOLS INCLUDE or EXCLUDE, the
  ASNCLP program should not perform source-target mapping
  checks on nullable before-image or after-image columns
  that already exist in the target table. As a workaround,
  you can specify TRGCOLS INCLUDE or EXCLUDE, or you can
  apply this APAR.
  

Problem conclusion

• The ASNCLP program now ignores existing before-image or
  after-image columns when it performs source-target column
  mapping checks.
