Error description

• When you run one of the administrative scripts for synchronizing
  group memberships, a ClassCastException might occur and the
  script stops if a group is involved that has exactly one member.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• IBM BPM uses federated repositories, which are associated with
  the Virtual Member Manager (VMM), to access user and group
  information in a user registry. VMM properties can be typed as
  single-valued or multi-valued. The ClassCastException occurs
  when the synchronization scripts access the IBM BPM code that
  incorrectly treats a multi-valued property that has only one
  value as a single-valued property.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.5.5.0 that improves how
  multi-valued VMM properties are handled in all cases so that the
  group synchronization scripts can run successfully.
  
  On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
  for JR50441:
  
  1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
  
  2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR50441, and click Continue.
  
  When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
  the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
  additional installation instructions and information about the
  fix.
