Error description

• When using a heritage Select control, if the value of a list
  item contains some special characters such as &, < and >, the
  value of the selected item is encoded incorrectly in the
  backend process with an extra 'amp;'.  This leads to incorrect
  result when the value of the selected item is used in other
  activity within the process.

Local fix

Problem summary

• The heritage Select control cannot set its selected item to
  contain &, <, or > characters in its value.
  
  This fix is only valid for V8.5.5.0 and completes the fix
  introduced with JR48400 in 8.5.5.0
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available for V8.5.5.0 that ensures that all XML
  predefined special characters are decoded. The fix for this APAR
  on 8.5.5.0 has been superseded and included in cumulative fix
  for JR50542.
  
  On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
  for JR50542:
  
      1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition
  from the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
  level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
      2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR50542, and click Continue.

  the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
  additional installation instructions and information about the
