Error description

  • Failed Event Manager queries don't always return complete
results. BPC failed events can have status values ?stopped?,
?failed?, or ?terminated?. If you have BPC failed events in your
system, but none of them has the ?failed? status, queries that
use the Failed Event Manager user interface or API, depending on
the query parameterization, won't return BPC failed events.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • When you send failed event queries by using the Failed Event
Manager UI or API, your receive incomplete results for certain
combinations of query parameters. This issue occurs because a
query for BPC-type failed events is wrongly assembled. If no BPC
failed events in state ?failed? exist in the system, the query
does not return any BPC failed events at all, even omitting
those BPC failed events in other states other than ?failed?.

Problem conclusion

  • An interim fix for IBM BPM V8.5 is available that fixes the
    failed event query function.
