Error description

  • After you run the BPMSnapshotCleanup command to remove unnamed
snapshots, you can no longer save artifacts in IBM Process
Designer in a process app or toolkit that has advanced content.

After you run the BPMSnapshotCleanup command to remove unnamed
snapshots, you can no longer receive updates in IBM Integration
Designer from Process Center when you select "Refresh and
    Publish" for a project.

Local fix

  • Edit the LSW_SCA_CONNECTOR table of the BPMDB database and
put the value outOfSync in the LAST_SYNCHRONIZED column for the
Advanced Integration service that is affected. The existing
value is the ID of an unnamed snapshot that has been deleted.
Then, in IBM Integration Designer, delete the process app or
toolkit from the workspace and reload it by selecting the "Open
    in workspace" link.

Problem summary

  • The BPMSnapshotCleanup command removed unnamed snapshots from
the database. Advanced Integration services store the ID of an
unnamed snapshot in the LSW_SCA_CONNECTOR database table to
indicate when the snapshot was last synchronized with its
implementation in Integration Designer. Furthermore, this
unnamed snapshot ID is stored in your preferences in Integration
Designer to indicate when the project was last synchronized
with Process Center. Removing the unnamed snapshots from the
database causes exceptions to be thrown when Process Designer or
Integration Designer attempts to load the unnamed snapshot.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for Process Designer and Integration Designer
in IBM BPM V8.0.1.2 and V8.5.0.1. With the interim fix applied,
the Advanced Integration services of unnamed snapshots that
have been deleted are marked in Process Designer as being out of
sync. In addition, a full comparison of the artifacts (from the
tip) instead of a delta comparison (from the last synchronized
snapshot) is performed in Integration Designer.

    Business Process Manager (BPM)"
