Local fix

  • The user could have just used locale format when bound to a Date
object or to use a custom format a conversion to a string could
be done prior to running Heritage Coach.

Problem summary

  • The heritage coach date selector did not support custom
formatting when bound to a date object. And the heritage coach
output text only supported the format "MM-dd-yyyy" when bound to
a simple type business object based on the date type.

    PROBLEM DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
The heritage coach date selector did not support custom
formatting when bound to a date object. And the heritage coach
output text only supported the format "MM-dd-yyyy" when bound to
a simple type business object based on the date type.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V.R.M.F that,

    1. Date Selector: Added a new model property called
"overrideLocaleDateFormat" and the exposed this in the UI
properties. In addition the CoachDesigner.xsl and
DateTimePicker.js were updated to work with and without the
present of this new model property.

    2. Output Text: When bound to a simple type business object
based on the date type, the format defined within the business
object is used instead of the the "MM-dd-yyyy" hard-coded
    format.
