Problem summary

  • While installing a snapshot, you receive a Bad SQL Grammar
    error.

    PROBLEM DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
You receive the following Bad SQL Grammar error while installing
    a snapshot:

PreparedStatementCallback; bad SQL grammar [SELECT DISTINCT
    G.GROUP_ID FROM LSW_USR_GRP_XREF G WHERE G.GROUP_TYPE IN (1,4)
AND NOT EXISTS ( SELECT T.GROUP_ID FROM LSW_TASK T WHERE
    T.GROUP_ID = G.GROUP_ID UNION ALL SELECT T.GROUP_ID FROM
    LSW_TASK T WHERE T.GROUP_ID = - G.GROUP_ID ) AND G.GROUP_ID IN (
    )]; nested exception is
    com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerException: Incorrect
    syntax near ')'.

This error occurs after a snapshot is deleted with the use of
the BPMDeleteSnapshot command when JR48877 is applied. The error
occurred because more than 1000 participant groups do not have a
corresponding snapshot in your database and the task of deleting
them is not split into multiple SQL statements.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available that deletes the participant groups that do
not have a corresponding snapshot that uses multiple SQL
    statements.
