    In class com.ibm.ws.sca.binding.ejb.handler.EJBMessageHandler,
there is a method to return an object based on an input
parameter that indicates the object type. When the type is
java.util.List, an abstract interface is read from the object,
even though the object does not have an abstract interface. As
a result, the java.rmi.MarshalException is thrown.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM Business Process Manager V8.5.0.1.
After the fix is applied, the correct interface will be
called when an import with EJB binding invokes a method
containing java.util.List as the parameter type.
