Error description

  • When creating a new (e.g. ad-hoc) group, significant performance
overhead can be observed, in case a large number of groups
    exists in the BPM system.
A java stack of the thread experiencing the problem will
    contain this call
    Group cache reset frequently.

Local fix

  • No

Problem summary

  • When creating a new (e.g. ad-hoc) group, group related caches
get reset and one of them gets preloaded with available groups.
If the number of groups is large, a significant performance
    degradation can occur.

Problem conclusion

  • Upon group creation, no cache reset is triggered any more. Cache
resets are now limited to group (property) updates. In
addition, resets are limited to the concerned groups and no
preload is done as consequence of a cache reset.
