Error description

  • In IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) V8.0.1.2, Internet
    Explorer was not initially supported. As a result, various
    issues occurred when Process Portal was used in Internet
    Explorer 10.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The various issues include, but are not limited to, these
    issues:
    
    On a process instance diagram, the context menu does not work.
    
    On the Go to Spaces window (in Business Space), the Advanced
    (globe icon) button does not work.
    
    In the User Profile window, the link to change the avatar is not
    visible.
    
    Additionally, the login page and landing page are not marked as
    compatible with IE10, resulting in the browser mode switching to
    Internet Explorer 9 mode (instead of the Internet Explorer 10
    Standards mode) when you navigate to either of these pages.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.0.1.2 that resolves the issues
    and enables support for Internet Explorer 10 in Process Portal.
    
    
    On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
    for JR49085:
    
     1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
    the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
    level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
     2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR49085, and click Continue.
    
    When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
    the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
    additional installation instructions and information about the
    fix.
    
    In addition to this interim fix, install the other interim fixes
    that are required to enable support for Internet Explorer 10 in
