Error description

  • In the My Performance and My Team Performance dashboards in
    Process Portal, a pie chart and task list (table) reflect the
    status of the displayed tasks (On Track, At Risk, or Overdue)
    based on task due date.  The application logic responsible for
    calculating task status is using translated values for the
    three statuses, which can lead to issues depending on the BPM
    version:
    
    1) In BPM V8.0.1.1 and previous versions, if the server and
    user profile languages are different, task status calculation
    may fail.
    2) In any BPM version, if a translated status value is modified
    (e. g. in a fix pack), task status calculation may fail.
    
    As a result, the pie chart and task list in the dashboards may
    fail to display any tasks for one or more statuses (for
    example, only At Risk tasks may appear, if any at all).

    The application logic responsible for calculating task status
    in Process Portal is using translated values for the three
    statuses for value comparison, which can lead to issues
    depending on the BPM version:
    1) In BPM V8.0.1.1 and previous versions, if the server and
    user profile languages are different, task status calculation
    may fail.
    2) In any BPM version, if a translated status value is modified
    (e. g. in a fix pack), task status calculation may fail.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The application logic was modified to perform all comparisons
    of task status values in English, resolving the issue.
    
    An interim fix for Business Process Manager Version 8.0.1.2 has
    been published to Fix Central.  Please refer to the separate
    file that is automatically downloaded with the interim fix
    for prerequisite information and installation/uninstallation
    instructions.
