Error description

  • On Linux, when you run the upgradeProcessData command for a
    second deployment manager profile on the same BPM installation
    as the first dmgr, the command will fail with:

    Loading environment settings
    Process server configuration can't be found
    under
    <path to config file>

    You can see that the path refers to the first dmgr profile
    (which is the default profile) although you have set the
    -profileName parameter to the second dmgr profile when running
    the upgradeProcessData command.

    Default profiles are always used when the upgradeProcessData
    command is used to update the database on IBM BPM V8.0.1.x on
    Linux.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available that invokes the setupCmdLine command in
    the upgradeProcessData command before iterating the command
    parameters so that setupCmdLine can see the '-profileName'
    parameter and set the correct profile path.
