Error description

  • In the Process Performance dashboard of Process Portal, the
Activity Overview section contains two charts, Activity Task
Count and Average Historical Duration.  If an activity that
has tasks to be reflected in these charts has a name that is
longer than 64 characters, the name appears correctly, but the
charts are not (they are "compressed" into single vertical
lines).

Problem summary


    

  • The code that displays the reports did not account for the
possibility of longer activity (human service) names, always
displaying each name on a single line, leaving less width for
the actual graphs.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A fix is available for IBM BPM V8.0.1.0 that wraps activity
names onto multiple lines as needed, permitting the graphs to be
displayed correctly.

On Fix Central (http://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral), search
for JR49554 (containing the fix for JR48501):

1. Select IBM Business Process Manager with your edition from
the product selector, the installed version to the fix pack
level, and your platform, and then click Continue.
2. Select APAR or SPR, enter JR48501, and click Continue.

When you download fix packages, ensure that you also download
the readme file for each fix. Review each readme file for
additional installation instructions and information about the
fix.
