Error description

  • Participant Groups can be defined with reference to user
attribute
values to contain users who match the defined criteria.
If a user attribute value is updated for a user AND
update-dynamic-groups-on-uad-change is set to true (default),
then all
dynamic groups may need to be refreshed.
While this already works for changes throught Process Admin
Console,
this APAR enables refresh for changes via REST API
/rest/bpm/wle/v1/user/user1?action=setPreference&key=<uadName>&v
alue=<ua
dValue>

Problem summary


    

  • While updating user attribute values via Process Admin Console
is also refreshing all dynamic groups, this was not enabled for
the REST API.

PROBLEM DETAILED DESCRIPTION:
When changing user attribute values via REST API
/rest/bpm/wle/v1/user/user1?action=setPreference&key=
{uadName}&value={uadValue} then no dynamic groups are updated
even when update-dynamic-groups-on-uad-change is enabled.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • With this interim fix also updating user attribute values via
REST API will consider update-dynamic-groups-on-uad-change and
update all dynamic groups accordingly.
