Error description

  • Duplicate Query Variable entries created in database during
    process instance migration
    .
During process instance migration, duplicate entries can get
created in BPEDB table QUERYABLE_VARIABLE_INSTANCE_T. This is
observed when the migration instance contains a correlation set
as well as query properties. Duplicates are characterized by
same PIID and VARIABLE_NAME/PROPERTY_NAME. As a result of the
data duplication query table queries can yield the following SQL
    error:
    .
    DB2 SQL Error: SQLCODE=-811, SQLSTATE=21000, SQLERRMC=null,
    DRIVER=4.12.55
    .
The error indicates more than one result returned in a scalar
    fulselect query.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The entries in the QUERYABLE_VARIABLE_INSTANCE_T table are
properties of BPEL process variables that
are evaluated when variable is updated in the database. The
    problem did happen because this
evaluation was triggered before the existing entries of this
process instance where migrated to the
new version. This resulted in new entries and finally to
    duplicate entries after the already
    existing entries where migrated.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem was fixed by changing the order in which the
entities that belong to the process
    instance are migrated
