Error description

  • After Business Process Manager is upgraded from Version 8.0.0.0
    to Version 8.0.1.0 or 8.0.1.1, users of Process Portal are
    unable to use mouse clicks to navigate on the login page. Note
    that this issue occurs for all supported browsers except for
    Internet Explorer 8.

Local fix

  • There are two workarounds to this issue:

    1) Use the Tab key to navigate to the user name and password
    text boxes and enter the credentials, then hit the Enter key to
    submit the credentials and log in to Process Portal.

    2) The root cause has been identified when upgrading from BPM
    Version 8.0.0.0 to 8.0.1.0/8.0.1.1: the login.css file, which
    was modified for Version 8.0.1.0, is not propagated to WebDAV
    during profile upgrade.

    Refer to the following Information Center page, describing
    customization of the Process Portal login page:

    http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/dmndhelp/v8r0m1/index.jsp?topi
    c=%2Fcom.ibm.wbpm.admin.doc%2Fcustomizing%2Fcustomizingtheloginp
    age.html

    Follow the overall procedure, but instead of creating a local
    copy of the contents of /login/bspace and creating a new folder
    under /login, modify login.css directly under /login/bspace,
    deleting the line "z-index:-1;" from the section below:

    .processPortal .login_background_image{
    width:100%;
    height:100%;
    position:absolute;
    top:0;
    left:0;
    z-index:-1;
    background-image: url(images/login_background.png);
    }

    If you have customized login.css with other changes since
    upgrading to Version 8.0.1.0/8.0.1.1, you must make the same
    change to the customized login.css file.

    ****************************************************************
    Mouse clicks do not work on the Process Portal login page,
    after Business Process Manager is upgraded from Version
    8.0.0.0 to Version 8.0.1.0 or Version 8.0.1.1. This is caused
    by a missing style sheet file in the Process Portal theme that
    is applied during profile upgrade (as part of the product
    upgrade). A new installation of Version 8.0.1.0 (which can
    subsequently be upgraded to Version 8.0.1.1) does not exhibit
    this problem.
    The issue will be resolved in a future maintenance release.
    In the meantime, either of the workarounds described in the
    LOCAL FIX/WORKAROUND section can be implemented.
