Error description

  • In heavily load, high performance scenarios, when Oracle is used
as the database, It is possible that a small number of
Event Manager Tasks can execute twice.
The trace taken at the time of the problem would show the task
    id being processed twice.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • In heavy load, high performance scenarios, when Oracle is used
as the database, it is possible that a small number of Event
Manager Tasks can execute twice. This is because the task
owner is wrongly assumed to have crashed and the failover
functionality "steals" the tasks from their original owners.

Problem conclusion

  • The task loading mechanism was modified and the failover
functionality was adapted such that double execution on Oracle
should no longer occur. As a side effect, task loading also
generates less load on the database.
