APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After migration from BPM 8000 to BPM 8010, the variable binding
  in coaches is lost.
  Since BPM 8010, a new sub-variable "currentItem" on a list
  varaible was introduced.
  

Local fix

• Re-customize all affected variable bindings manually to new
  sub-variable
  

Problem summary

  * USERS AFFECTED:  Users migrating their process application   *
  *                  to BPM V8.0.1.X.                            *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The code generation did not respect     *
  *                      all v8.0 style bindings and did not     *
  *                      substitute the ".currentItem" in the    *
  *                      binding string with the "[index]"       *
  *                      representation which is what the        *
  *                      coach runtime expects.  There were a    *
  *                      small subset of cases where this        *
  *                      substitution did not happen.            *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  The binding string representation for "current list items" had
  changed to remove the ambiguity, however, some v8.0 style
  bindings to list items were not being respected by the coach
  and caused an error.
  

Problem conclusion

• A fix was provided for APAR JR46152.
