An e-Marketing Spot can be configured to specify an exact number of recommendations to return. If any of the activity recommendations is removed due to a configured filter (for example, minimum inventory level), it would be expected the e-Marketing Spot would display the other applicable recommendations up to the number requested. This is not occurring when the DM_ActivityOrder flag is set to true to have the marketing runtime return the recommendations in the exact order specified in the activities (do not group product, category, or content recommendations together). The following steps illustrate how to reproduce the problem: 1. Configure marketing to remove recommendations for catalog entries whose inventory level is 0 2. Create a web activity to return two catalog entry recommendations 3. For the first recommendation, have it for a product which has inventory 0 4. In the e-Marketing Spot JSP, have the following configuration: <wcf:param name="DM_ActivityOrder" value="true" /> 5. In the page including the e-Marketing Spot, set it to return only one recommendation <c:param name="numberProductsToDisplay" value="1"/> 6. Activate the activity, and view the e-Marketing Spot on the storefront. Observed results: The e-Marketing Spot will not display any product recommendations. Expected results: The second catalog entry recommendation should display in the e-Marketing Spot.
USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Commerce users on v7.0 using Management Center Marketing 'Product recommendation' web activities. PROBLEM ABSTRACT: 'Product Recommendation' marketing web activity will not display correctly if inventory level for one of the recommended products is at zero.
