Error description

  • The "Import Connector Wizard" is launched from DataStage
Designer.
The selection of "Include synonyms" at the "Filter" step
provoked an "Import Failures" when the synonyms covered OWNER
and TABLE_OWNER

Problem summary


    

  • Importing a synonym table definition using the Oracle Connector
failed with the following error:
The OCI function OCIDescribeAny returned status -1. Error code:
1,741, Error message: ORA-01741: illegal zero-length identifier

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The list of synonyms was incorrectly generated based on
TABLE_OWNER field (the owner of the table to which the synonym
points) instead of OWNER field (the owner of the synonym).
