Error description

  • Duplicate rows replicated during refresh or
    ArrayIndexOutOfBounds exception occurs when replicating large
    rows , where large means the length of the row is approximately
    63000 bytes or longer.
    

Local fix

  • Add a lob column to the source table and map it for replication.
    

Problem summary

  • When replicating wide tables, CDC might duplicate rows
    during refresh or failed with ArrayIndexOutOfBounds exceptions.
    We refers as wide tables, when the length of the row CDC is
    replicating is 63000 bytes or longer.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This issue is fixed by applying the following Interim Fixes
    depending on your database flavor:
    - ISCDC 6.5.2 Interim Fix 23 for Oracle Redo, or
    - ISCDC 6.5.2 Interim Fix 12 for DB2 LUW.
    

Temporary fix

  • Add a lob column to the source table and add select it for
    replication.
