Error description

  • uninstallBusinessSpaceWidgets wsadmin command (re)applies the
    cumulative information found in *ALL* of the various XML files
    (i.e. for *ALL* widget packages) currently found in
    <profileHome>/BusinessSpace/<nodeName>/<serverName>/mm.runtime
    .prof/endpoints and then updates the "resource.xml" file found
    in
    <profileHome>/config/cells/<cellName>/nodes/<nodeName>/servers
    /<serverName
    
    So any endpoint properties which have names that do not
    correspond to any endpoint defined by any of the files within
    directory mm.runtime.prof/endpoint are being deleted.
    
    An example of this is IBM Case Manager implementation of
    endpoint properties. Most of these are removed by
    uninstallBusinessSpaceWidgets.
    
    This behavior is not intuitive and should either be documented
    or changed:
    uninstallBusinessSpaceWidgets should explicitly grab the
    name(s) for the endpoints of the package(s) of widgets it is
    explicitly removing and then only delete/remove entries from
    "resources.xml" that correspond to those names.
    

Local fix

  • Workarounds are specific for each product implementation and
    are documented in Technotes.
