Error description

  • The NCHAR/NVARCHAR data returned by Oracle LogMiner changed from
a binary format for multi byte characters to a UCS
representation using the UNISTR function.  The change results in
an error (ASN0569E) during decoding of the NCHAR/NVARCHAR value.

Problem summary


    

  •  Q Capture stops with ASN0569E during decoding
of NCHAR/NVARCHAR values returned by LogMiner when replicating
changes from Oracle 11gR2 and higher.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  •  The problem has been fixed.  Q Capture
correctly processes NCHAR/NVARCHAR values from LogMiner.
