Error description

  • 1. Logon to Management Center
    2. Open Catalog tab.
    3. Select store
    4. Select 'Sales Catalog Categories' in the Explorer View Filter
    drop down
    4. Navigate to a category
    5. Wait for the application time out. ( when this happens if
    user tries to access the application, the logon window will pop
    up )
    6. Logon back to Management Center
    7. The Explorer View Filter drop down shows the Master Catalog
    Categories instead of Sales Catalog Categories

    Any user who is trying to use the Management Center
    
    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
    The session from Explorer View Filter drop down in Management
    Center is not persisted after time-out
    
    BUSINESS IMPACT:
    Given that the Sales Catalog gets reset to Master catalog, user
    has to re-select the Sales Catalog option for further operations
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • Change the way that Management Center refreshes context
    variables. Trigger context variable refresh when the logon Id
    changes instead of when the identity Id token changes to resolve
    the issue.
