JR44853: THE CONFIGBSPACETRANSPORT.PY SCRIPT DOES NOT RUN CORRECTLY IN A FOUR-CLUSTER NETWORK DEPLOYMENT TOPOLOGY

Version 8.0.1 Fix Pack 1 for the IBM Business Process Manager products

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• There is an error when attempting to run the
  configBSpaceTransport.py script in a four-cluster network
  deployment topology for IBM Business Process Manager.  The
  error is an IO file not found error
  indicating that
  mm.runtime.prof/config/ConfigService.properties cannot be
  found with respect to the AppTarget cluster.  The purpose of
  the script is to set HTTP or HTTPS access settings for Process
  Portal.  In a four-cluster IBM Business Process Manager
  topology, the Process Portal application (IBM_BPM_Portal) is
  associated with the AppTarget cluster.  Since the script does
  not complete successfully when invoked with the -clusterName
  parameter set to the AppTarget cluster, the
  access settings cannot be changed.

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  The Process Portal application (IBM_BPM_Portal) is associated
  with the AppTarget cluster in a four-cluster IBM Business
  Process Manager topology and the BSpaceEAR application is
  associated with the WebApp cluster.  This toplogy with the
  IBM_BPM_Portal and BSpaceEAR applications on different
  clusters was not properly considered with respect to the
  configBSpaceTransport.py script.
  

Problem conclusion

• An optional -bspaceClusterName parameter was added to the
  configBSpaceTransport.py script.  This new parameter makes it
  possible to run the script with the -clusterName specified as
  the AppTarget cluster and the -bspaceClusterName specified as
  the WebApp cluster so that the needed configuration file can
  be found.
  
  An 8.0.1.0 interim fix for JR44853 is available from Fix
  Central.  Fix application instructions are also available when
  obtaining the interim fix from Fix Central.
