JR44759: CAPTURE HANGS AND DISPLAYS ASN0057E WITH ERROR "28" IF THERE IS NOT ENOUGH AVAILABLE SPACE TO WRITE A SPILLED ROW

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Capture hangs and displays ASN0057E with error "28" if there is
  not enough available space in the file system to write a spilled
  row. Capture displays "quickCell::freeCell()- ERROR!! :BAD
  numCellsUsed detected!!  PRINTCELLS (quickCell::freeCell() :BAD
  numCellsUsed!!) : (threadId=1029) cellSize=176, blockSize=8192,
  cellsPerBlock=46, nextFree=1118c8e78, firstBlock=1124fda30,
  numBlocks=375, numCellsUsed=-1, numCellsFree=17251] and damages
  it's memory.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• Capture termination frees transaction rows from memory. Capture
  hangs after it attempts to free the rows that it already
  spilled and freed.
  

Problem conclusion

• Capture termination will free only those rows that have not
  already been spilled and freed.
  .
  This fix will be available in DB2 LUW V9.7 FP8.
