WebSphere Commerce v7.0 with Fix pack 6 and FEP 5

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
With each page refresh shipping charges for the free gift item
gets accumulated and results in incorrect shipping charges and
order total.

BUSINESS IMPACT:
unable to set up GWP promotion

RECOMMENDATION:

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Initialize the calculation usage after handling the free gifts
when calculating the order. Before this change, the calculation
usage initialization is done before handling the free gifts.

 That's to say, executing the following statement when old free
gifts item are removed and new free gifts items are added.
 CalculationHelper.getInstance().initializeCalculationUsages(
                                                  iabOrders[i],
                                                  abOrderItems,
                                                  strCurrency,

iHshCustomProperties,
                                                  setUsageIds,
                                                  null,

getCommandContext());
