display the name or description of the product.

  • USERS AFFECTED:
WebSphere Commerce V7.0 customers who run a Search enabled store
with multiple languages

PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
Search enabled storefront does not handle language fallback for
a product

BUSINESS IMPACT:
 Products display incorrectly in the storefront

RECOMMENDATION:

Problem conclusion

  • The existing search filter is changed to find the name or
description in the store default language when the catalog entry
name or description is missing for the language id in the
current context.
