APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Upgrading BPM from 7.5.0 to 8.0 resultsin the loss of locale
specific functionality. In 7.5 coaches the comma (,) can be
used as the decimal separator and the period (.) as the
thousand separator for numbers if configured to do so.

In 8.0 even if changing the format to "###.###.###,##" it still
doesn't work as it did in 7.5.

Local fix

  • Use commas as thousands separator and periods as decimal
separator. There is no workaround to allow the opposite as was
    possible in 7.5.

    ****************************************************************
Code was introduced that caused the Formatting javascript in
coaches to be called twice causing loss of correct
formatting, it broke both integer and decimal values.

Problem conclusion

  • To correct this functionality, bad code was rolledback
allowing Heritage coaches to properly format numbers for
    different locales.
