Error description

  • Function list:
    1. One order item can reserve inventory from multiple
fulfillment centers, sterling supports this feature, in FEP5, we
do not implement it in WebSphere Commerce side. In this APAR,
    WebSphere Commerce will support it.
     2. As the front end system, when the shopper shops as a guest
shopper, submits payment, completes order, then registers and
logs on in the same session, WebSphere Commerce would merge the
order to the registered shopper. And now, we need WebSphere
Commerce to notify Sterling OMS the user of the order changed,
so that the registered shopper can view the order info in
history order section. Without this APAR, after guest shopper
log on, he/she will not be able to view his/her placed orders as
    guest.
    3. Improvement on Performance
    (1) To solve the deadlock issue: As the solution developer, I
need to sort the catalog entries of a shopping cart when we call
multiAPI of monitorItemAvailability for inventory check of a
shopping cart, and when call multiAPI for cancel inventory
reservation. This is to reduce the possibility of deadlock.
    (2) To improve findInventory performance: When call Sterling
findInventory API, now will call a findInventory API for each
item. In this APAR, this is enhanced to include all of the items
    in one findInventory call.

Local fix

  • Do not configure order item multiple fulfillment center support
    in sterling side
