Error description

  • When an Oracle database in reverse-engineered in InfoSphere Data
Architect, indexes which have two or more columns of DESC
ordering get misinterpreted and instantiated in the resulting
physical data model as indexes which all columns are copies of
    the last DESC column.
The same phenomenon can be observed when browsing an Oracle
database in "Data Source Explorer" view.

Problem summary

  • Reverse-engineers Oracle database and then generates DDL from
the resulting physical data model. If index has more than one
DESC columns then all these column will be reverse-engineered as
     the duplications.

Problem conclusion

  • The issue is fixed.
Please upgrade to the latest IBM InfoSphere Data Architect.
