Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users of Multi Client Manager **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When switching DataStage Clients using Multi-Client Manager (MCM), sometimes the client set would throw a runtime error (457) during the Attach dialog. **************************************************************** RECOMMENDATION: Apply patch JR40096 ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
The problem is due to changes in the encryption routine for passwords where details are longer than 32 characters. This is actually a problem in the Attach dialog, not MCM, or the switching process.
