JR39488: XML Input Stage needs the table definitions to be reloaded when NULLs&Empty values handling is turned on for old 75x jobs.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • XML Input Stage may need table defs and Xpaths to be entered
    manually when jobs are migrated from 75x to 85x and column names
    are to be changed.This issue comes when NULL and Empty handling
    is enabled in XML Stage.
    

Local fix

  • Reload of table defintions and manual creation of XPaths
    

Problem summary

  • Any user who tries to use "Replace nulls with empty values"
    option and "Replace empty values with nulls" option in XML Input
    Stage will be affected.
     Need to reload table defintions and
    manually edit of Xpaths for NULLs and Empty value Processing in
    XML Input Stage.  Apply patch JR39488 to resolve the issue
    

Problem conclusion

  • New functions are added in XML Input Stage code to handle
    NULL and empty value processing.After applying the patch the
    values are processed correctly.
