APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When running di-preprocess with the batch size greater than one
    for a price index build in IBM WebSphere Commerce, the price for
    the last item in each batch is not indexed to the search server.
    

Local fix

  • Setting the batch size to one in the
    wc-dataimport-preprocess-fullbuild.xml file or
    wc-dataimport-preprocess-deltabuild.xml will work around the
    issue.
    

Problem summary

  • USERS AFFECTED:
    WebSphere Commerce customers on v7.0 who will use the Feature
    Pack 2 search function.
    
    PROBLEM ABSTRACT:
    The offer price for some items are not indexed after running the
    di-preprocess utility in WebSphere Commerce.
    
    BUSINESS IMPACT:
    The problem should be fixed if the the customer wants to use the
    batch database import for search function.
    
    RECOMMENDATION:
    

Problem conclusion

  • The interim fix for this APAR implements a code change which
    will fix the problem.
    With the APAR, WebSphere Commerce users will be able to get the
    correct result after running the di-preprocess utility for a
    price index build.
