Error description

  • Enhancement request for a keepalive functionality to prevent
firewall from disconnecting sessions.

We are currently using version 7.5 of DataStage.  Our company
has a firewall between the desktops and the Solaris server on
which the DataStage server resides.  The firewall disconnects
after an hour of inactivity.

Local fix

  • Users should close Designer if they expect long periods of
inactivity.
