APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using a FileDSN to import data in microsoft Excel, the
  dialog box asks for a DBALIAS even if DATABASE keyword is
  already set in the FILEDSN.  Unless a DBALIAS is selected the OK
  button in the dialogbox remains disabled due to which importing
  data is not possible using a FILEDSN. However, if the DATABASE
  keyword has been set in the FILEDSN , the drop down list should
  not be enabled and we should be able to import data even without
  selecting a dbalias.
  

Local fix

• Add the following keywords in FILEDSN :
  REPAINT=2
  

Problem summary

• First fixed v9.5 FP2
  

Problem conclusion

• Please use v9.5 FP2 onwards to avoid the problem.
