APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
An application that uses SERVER_ENCRYPT authentication to connec t to a DB2 database may hang or trap. When SERVER_ENCRYPT auth entication is used DB2 will use an ICC library to encrypt the us erid and password that is sent to the database server. If the a pplication process that is connecting uses too much stack space then the ICC library may get a stack overflow which could result in a hang or a trap.
Local fix
If possible increase the stack space of the application process or do not use SERVER_ENCRYPT authentication.
