APAR status

Error description

  • An internal compiler error is encountered in the C++ front
end when the user attempts to compile an application that
overloads the 'logstream' operator.

Local fix

  • N/A.

Problem summary

  • PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
An issue with name lookup was exposed by a previous fix causing
an internal compiler error.

USERS AFFECTED:
The problem may effect certain names resolved within the
instantiation of a template class.

Problem conclusion

  • The fix was backported from a new version of the compiler, with
additional testing performed to ensure the stability of the
fix.
