  The failure comes up with the gencon and optavgpause GC
  policies, not with the optthruput.

Problem summary

• This is a synchronization issue in the JIT compiled code of a
  method which does a store to a static (volatile or non-volatile)
  variable.
  

Problem conclusion

• This defect will be fixed in:
  6.0.0 SR10
  .
  The JIT has been updated to take care of the required
  synchronization.

  To obtain the fix:
  Install build 20110332 or later
