  the following error is being encountered:

Problem summary

• PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  Installation on PASE OS fails during config file translation.
  
  USERS AFFECTED:
  Users installing XL C/C++ V11.1.0.1 or XL Fortran V13.1.0.1
  PTFs or higher on PASE OS, or installing the XL C/C++ V11.1 or
  XL Fortran V13.1 evaluation versions on PASE OS.
  

Problem conclusion

• Use the NDI tool that ships with the March 2011 PTF to install
  the March PTF. This is the normal PTF update process documented
  at:

  The evaluation versions will be refreshed to pick up the fix.
