Error description

• Error Message: There were outages seen in e-commerce site and
  the application took around a minute to respond.

  Stack Trace: None
  .
  The customer saw tens of thousands of the following -
  org.omg.CORBA.BAD_OPERATION: The delegate has not been set!
  vmcid: 0x0  minor code: 0  completed: No
  in the ORB logs, within few minutes.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The problem is a result of the tens of thousands of
  BAD_OPERATION exception objects being created when the tie and
  stub are loaded for the first time.
  

Problem conclusion

• This defect will be fixed in:
  5.0.0 SR12 FP5
  .
  The solution is to use
  reflection to access the delegate of the
  tie & stubs and avoid the creation of BAD_OPERATION exception
  objects. Also, the delegate value will be cached for future
  usage.
