Error description

  • Error Message: When trying to read an access database with an 64
    bit access odbc driver , a zero value is always returned for
    numeric fields.When configured them to text field , number is
    corrrectly read. On a 32 bit platform this works without any
    problem for numeric fields.

  • There are two incompatible definitions of the ODBC spec.
    
    The review the proposed fix for this APAR concluded that the
    change required to resolve this issue may regress other
    customer.
    
    For this reason a Requirement will be opened to consider the
    wider issue of Java support for ODBC.
    
    The problem reported in this APAR is fixed through development
    APAR IV10780 which is available in 5.0.0 SR13.
