Problem conclusion

  • 1. If an email is received with an MSG attachment, that
    attachment will be processed as an 'rfc822' message
    
    
    
    
    
    2. The content of the MSG attachment will be dumped out as a
    text file and attached to the SR
    
    
    
    
    
    3. The text file will contain all mail headers, any HTML tags,
    multi-part boundary text and original message all together - no
    attempt will be made to parse this content.
    
    
    
    
    
    4. The extension of this text file will be driven by the value
    specified for a new system property
    'mxe.listener.rfc822extension'
    
    
    
    
    
    5. If the MSG attachment contains nested MSG attachments, all
    the MSGs will be flattened and dumped out into a single text
    file - the order of the content output into these text files
    will be the order in which the nested MSGs were extracted.
    
    
    
    
    
    6. At any level, if the MSG file contains a non-MSG attachment
    (BMP, DOC, PDF, etc), then that will be extracted separately as
    a regular attachment.
    
    
    
    
    
    7. Another system property (may be mxe.listener.rfc822depth) is
    also added that will drive how deep the code will go to extract
    content.
    
    
    
    
    
    Example: An email contains text with an MSG attachment; this
    MSG attachment itself contains more text, a Word document
    attachment and another MSG attachment. The third MSG attachment
    is just text.
    
    
    
    
    
    In this example, the SR will be created containing a total of 2
    attachments. First attachment is a single text file containing
    all of the MSG content and second attachment is the Word
    document.
    
    
    
    
    
    The fix for this APAR is contained in the following maintenance
