    This problem is only seen in the Java6 JIT and the most likely
    symptom will be a crash in JIT compiled code. There is no easy
    way to determine if you are experiencing this rare issue other
    than to analyze the JIT generated assembler code.
    

Local fix

  • This issue can be worked around using the
    -Xjit:disableStoreSinking.  However this may cause the program
    to run a few percent slower than before.
    

Problem summary

  • The problem is caused when a store is incorrectly moved by the
    JIT compilers store sinking optimization.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR9 FP2
    .
    The JIT has been modified to prevent this type of problem from
    occuring.
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20101118 or later
