  • Error Message: The JVM is unable to generate the dumps when a
    signal such as Segmentation fault (Signal 11) is raised from JNI
    code on Linux platforms.  This is because the the Signal
    chaining is not working on Linux.

Problem summary

  • JVM is unable to generate the dumps when a signal such as
    Segmentation fault (Signal 11) is raised from JNI code on Linux
    platforms.  This is because the the Signal chaining is not
    working on Linux.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This defect will be fixed in:
    6.0.0 SR9
    .
    JVM has been fixed by linking the Signal handling library to the
    Java launcher on Linux platforms.
    .
    To obtain the fix:
    Install build 20101022 or later
